Villa de Toffoli Minuto Rizzo is a classic 18th-century Venetian Villa located in Soligo, in the centre of the historic production area of Prosecco Superiore Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG, at the edge of the Core Zone of the area declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a cultural landscape in 2019, thus recognising its exceptional value. The property is strategically well located, with fast international and national connections.
The Villa is part of the national historic heritage and has been protected by law since 1939. It is fully restored and in excellent condition, at the foot of picturesque hills.
In the tradition of Venetian villas, the architectural complex has a characteristic L-shape, with the central body on the North side and the historic wine cellar on the South side, joined together by rustic buildings, which develop around a courtyard in the centre of which stands a centuries-old plane tree next to an ancient well.
The central body, facing South, has three floors that enjoy a suggestive view of the property's vineyards, and of the driveway bordered by historic gates. On the North side, the entrance gate overlooks the ancient Via dei Bert and the enchanting hill of San Gallo.
The main building, which covers 1,020 square metres, consists of 21 rooms.
The elegant façade has a precise symmetrical and harmonious design, with a noble coat of arms above the middle opening, at the balcony overlooking the Italian-style garden with fishpond.
The interiors are of artistic value with, in the centre of the Villa, two overlapping halls decorated with polychrome ‘marmorini’ in the best style of the early 18th century, as well as numerous antique ‘Venetian’ floors.
The historic wine cellar, mentioned in the chronicles, covers 302 square metres and contains ancient wine-making equipment. On the upper floor is a spacious barn, of the same dimensions, which has been completely restored and can be used for events.
The rustic buildings are characterised by a surface area, on the ground floor, of 535 square metres, of which 338 square metres are historic porticoes overlooking the central courtyard. The first floor has the same surface area as above, formerly used as a granary, with three consecutive communicating areas.
An additional 133 square metres porch is located on the south side of the historic wine cellar and overlooks the vineyard.
All the roofs of the main building, the historic wine cellar and the rustic buildings were completely renovated in 1993.
The property is also characterised by 11,100 sqm cultivated with Prosecco Superiore Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG.
