Things to Do

The annual NYC Gay Pride Parade is a colorful celebration of life and love honoring the LGBTQ+ community each June. With celebrations held throughout the city all month long, the parade runs through the Chelsea neighborhood and brings even more incredible energy to the already vibrant community. Make sure to check the website for a list of events in the neighborhood closer to June!

The famous High Line Park is a 1.45-mile elevated linear park created on a former railway that runs through Chelsea. The High Line not only connects the neighborhood (by foot/bike only), but offers educational experiences to learn more about nature, open-air art installations, and highlights several local businesses along the elevated park. The Chelsea Waterside Park is another top destination for outdoor experiences within the city and offers picnic areas, water fountains and play areas for kids and dogs, and turf fields for various athletic events.

Located along the Hudson River, Chelsea Piers is a series of piers that were once used as passenger ship terminals in the early 20th century.
